I don’t like the ins and outs lists. I’m sure I’ve made one myself, either in my notes app or in the dark annals of my mind (OUT: imagining my house on fire every time I leave it, OUT, I rebuke that thought, OUT!), but seeing them fill up my timeline doesn’t bring me joy.
And it’s not that I don’t love our modern day chain-email, where everyone gets to add a little thing. Spotify Wrapped Day is like Christmas morning to me (even despite all my hang ups with the company). I think the music we listen to says something about us, or at least how we spend our time, and I’m shocked that so many people are routinely willing to offer up such vulnerable information about themselves.
